The use of cold-formed steel trusses, including the history and development of steel trusses, critical design elements, appropriate building types, necessary design elements and needed installation practices for a complete and effective truss system willbe discussed.
David Boyd is a Regional Sales Manager for Aegis Metal Framing, a Division of MiTek. David began working for MiTek in 1995 and has held several different roles within the company including Research & Development, Marketing and Sales. In 2001, David moved into the steel truss division and has been focused on cold-formed steel trusses since that time.
He is responsible for Authorized Aegis Fabricator sales and support as well as market
development for the central United States. When not helping architects, engineers, customers with cold-formed steel, he enjoys time with his three kids and following them in their adventures with marching band and club soccer. When time allows, he also enjoys cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals and burning some extra calories on a bike or lacing up his running shoes.
