The Texas A&M University SEAoT Student Chapter hosted their Fall semester picnic at Villa West Park in college station on Nov 21st. We had a good weather for the picnic and had a great break from our normal routine. Our members enjoyed some fried chicken and pizza for lunch. Our aspiring structural engineers showed their structural stability skills by playing with the giant Jenga Blocks.
The final meeting for the Fall semester was on Dec 3rd. Mr. Alfredo E Bustamante from Walker Restoration Consultants, gave us a presentation on the Restoration and Forensic Engineering. Al, shared his experience in restoration engineering and explained the steps involved in the process. He stressed the importance of technical writing for engineers. Al also shared his experience in working with photogrammetry and even drones for the evaluation of buildings.
