Hello Everyone,
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us at the September meeting. Unfortunately, I had last minute travel come up and was unable to join. I hope you enjoyed the lunch meeting and I look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming October meeting. I am confident we are going to close out the year strong. I have received positive feedback from people regarding the change to lunch time meetings, and I hope you are enjoying the change. We are already working on presentations for the 2020 calendar. We are always open to recommendations for topics and presenters so please let us know if there is a presenter / presentation that you would like to see.
The end of the year means elections are coming. Typically, the secretary becomes the main candidate for Vice President, and Vice President becomes the main candidate for President, and President become the past president. At the October meeting, we will nominate candidates for Secretary.
I also want to remind everyone that we have our special networking event on November 7, 2019. Our chapter will be hosting our first Annual SEAoT Houston/Gulf Coast top golf tournament. The event goes from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with hors d’oeuvres starting at 4:30. The event includes 2 complimentary drink tickets per attendee. It will be a fun night and a great way to connect with you fellow engineers.
