As we enter 2023, I want to take the opportunity to wish all of our members a very happy and prosperous new year!
December also concludes my SEAoT Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter presidency. It has been an honor to serve you and our structural engineering community. I am very grateful to have served together with the current board members Daniel Pearson, Jennifer Martin-Logan and Ashish Patel this year, who provided tremendous support and competence to our organization. I would also like to thank the SEAoT Communications and Social Media chair Ariel Suselo, who gave us so much of his time this year, providing support to Jennifer Martin-Logan, who wears so many hats in SEAoT.
My congratulations to the newly elected SEAoT board: our current vice president Daniel Pearson will step up as the new president, he will be supported by Jennifer Martin-Logan as the Vice President, and Ashish Patel as the Secretary. Additionally, I would like to welcome and congratulate our new Treasurer, Eric Homburg. Eric, who was also our December speaker, is a project manager with Dudley, welcome aboard Eric! Ariel Suselo has agreed to stay on as Social Media Chair for 2023. Thank you and looking forward to 2023. Finally, I would also like to thank each of you – our members. Without your continued support and participation, SEAoT simply would not exist. You are truly the strength of our organization. Thanks to all who volunteered this year and helped to organize events. I look forward to seeing you at the January meeting.
