Dr. Nestor Rubiano, Regional Structures Engineer at Hardesty & Hanover in Austin, TX, spoke at the third meeting of the Spring 2023 Semester along with Jay Shah, Structural Designer in his team. During the event, Dr. Rubiano shared his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of structural engineering, focusing on bridges in his career.
Nestor began by introducing himself and his role at H&H in the bridges division. He then delved into different projects Hardesty and Hanover executed over the past few years. After each subtopic discussion, Nestor engaged in an active Q&A session with the students. The Third meeting of the Spring 2023 Semester proved to be a resounding success, with attendees gaining valuable insights from Nestor’s expertise in the field of bridge engineering.
March 20th, 2023 | DCI Engineers | SEAoT TAMU 4th General Meeting
The fourth meeting of the semester was a success with the presence of Mike Wilson from DCI Engineers. He introduced himself and his roles at DCI Engineers, followed by a brief overview of the company’s services in the building design sector.
He then gave a very informative and detailed presentation on “Cold formed Steel Framing System”. Mike walked us through every point in detail about the pros and cons of cold form steel systems and its design aspects. He had brought a couple of samples too to show the audience how it works and to explain its properties. The fourth meeting of the semester proved to be an engaging and informative event, with the audience gaining valuable insights from the experienced engineers at DCI Engineers.
