The last meeting of the year for Texas A&M University’s SEAoT Student chapter was held on April 7th. The members of SEAoT had the pleasure of attending a presentation from Fluor Engineering presented by Ms Silky Wong. The presentation covered the topic of engineering interfaces as well as a representative case study.
The semiannual SEAoT field trip was conducted on April 8th at the Vaughn construction site located on Texas A&M’s campus. The new facility will be the Zachry Engineering Complex. The field trip consisted of Tech Tour of the construction site which allowed the SEAoT members to see the application of the design work of structural engineers come to life.
Students from the SEAoT student chapter held their end of the year picnic at Henderson park located in Bryan, Texas on April 23rd. The students along with structural civil engineering faculty members were able to participate in games such as giant Jenga and enjoyed a meal of fried chicken from Layne’s of College Station.
