As a brief overview of some of the SEAoT’s plan, we will have 6 virtual meetings in Spring 2021, starting on February 18th. All meetings will be held on Thursdays at 5:30 pm. We try to include different areas in structural engineering to connect students and professors to the industrial companies. This semester, we are looking for different subjects related to structural engineering including 3D concrete printed building, wood structures, offshore structures, academic research program, steel/concrete structures, and starting your own business related to structural engineering.
For the last subject which is building your own start-up/small business related to structural engineering, we are looking for interested companies who can give our students the procedure and challenges of building their own company and become an entrepreneur as a structural engineer. To increase the interaction between the presenters and the audiences and enriching the meetings, we have an interesting idea of defining SEAoT’s token to win a prize including Starbucks gift card, SEAoT mug or SEAoT T-shirt. The detailed description will be posted later.
